“The Birds”

Yesterday evening I had an incredible encounter with hundreds of birds. As I was walking home, I was distracted by the deafening sound of birds in the streets and took a little detour to see what was happening. At first, they were congregating on one rooftop. Then, they swooped into a line of about 20 trees (about 10 on each side of the street) and just flew from tree to tree calling/singing/laughing… (If bird laughter existed, this would be it.) I don’t know anything about birds and breeding season, but these guys were having a good time! Amazingly and fortunately, I didn’t start thinking about Daphne du Maurier and Alfred Hitchcock until after I got home… But now you can think of “The Birds” as you look at these photos. Happy almost Halloween!
